| Welcome to my game. I have played this two deck solitaire game for years and never
found a computer version of it, or even another person who played it. Therefore, being the
slacker programmer that I am, I decided to create an online version and give it to the
world.
Starting Lineup: The computer takes 2 decks and deal out 54 cards in 10 columns. This means that the first 4 columns have one extra card. Out of the 104 total cards, you still have 50 left over. These will be used later. Object: Remove All of the Cards to Win
How do I remove the cards? Every time that you get a set of cards king thru ace of a single suit (as shown to the right), then it gets automatically removed from the playing area. Yeah, but how? Here's where it gets a little tricky. First, you an play any single card on any card that is one number higher. This means that you can put a six of clubs on a seven of any suit. This means that you cannot put a king on any card, since there is nothing higher than a king. Aces are ones in this game. Second, you can play a group of cards as if it were a single card, providing they are all of the same suit, and are in proper numerical order. Hence,
Third, if you even get an empty column, you can place any card there. This is extremely useful, because it can be used to temporarily store one card so that the card above it can be moved. You can also place kings into an empty column, but once placed there, they cannot be moved, except to another empty row (which is kind of pointless). Fourth, If you ever get stuck, and can't do anything else, (or if you just feel like it), you can press the "deal 10 cards" button and ten cards will be taken out of the 50 that were left over from the deal, and dealt one on each column. Words of Wisdom: This game is very hard to win. You may only win one game in fifty. It takes patience and thought, and some luck. Guard your open columns like gold and don't fill them up unless you have to. And always try to stack cards of the same suit. If you get an open column, see if you can use it to rearrange your stacks to put more cards of the same suit together. Screw Ups: If you are not magically blessed with perfect mouse coordination, you may be happy to know that the system now has an undo function. Only one action can be undone. This action can be the movement of a single card, movement of a stack of cards, or the dealing of ten cards. Starting a new game cannot be undone. P.S. This game would be even harder if I played by the proper rules and dealt the first 44 cards face down. Good Luck |
